GCHS starts keeping records for total goals, assists and total points

March 26, 1991, The Trojans score 9 goals in the first quarter on the way to a 19-2 win against Freeport.
April 6, 1991, Eugene Curran totals 10 points in Garden City's 20-3 win over defending Class A Champion Port Washington.
April 12, 1991, Andy Crofton scores 7 goals and Sean Miller has 8 assists in the Trojans' 20-2 triumph over West Hempstead. Miller totals 12 points.
April 19, 1991, Freshman Chris Massey sets a class record with 4 goals in a 25-2 win over Plainedge. 14 GC players score goals.
May 3, 1991, The Trojans tie their school record with 26 goals against West Hempstead. 15 players score goals.
May 7, 1991, Team records for goals in a quarter (13) and half (20) are set in a 23-1 win over Great Neck North.
May 16, 1991, Eugene Curran's 7 goals and Andy Crofton's 7 assists crush Bethpage 19-3. The Trojans finish 12-0 in league play to extend the league winning streak to 42.
May 23, 1991, Garden City tops Island Trees 13-1 in the second round playoff game. The victory extends the team's home field winning streak to 75 dating back to 1984.
May 31, 1991, The Trojans beat Manhasset 9-4 to win the second straight Nassau County Class B Championship.
June 4, 1991, Garden City's 23rd straight win, a 21-2 triumph over Rocky Point, captures a second consecutive Long Island Class B title.
June 6, 1991, A 12-7 loss to Yorktown in the State semifinals ends GC's season. Garden City establishes a county record of 407 goals. Curran finishes with a midfielder record of 70. Miller's 46-77-123 leads the team. Andy Crofton totals 56-61-117.



1990
March 24, 1990, At Pottstown, PA, Joe Walsh scores 6 goals to pace the Trojans to a 21-2 win over the Hill School.
April 9, 1990, Sean Miller records 9 assists as Garden City records its biggest win ever against Manhasset 17-3.
April 17, 1990, Andy Crofton's 5 goals along with 4 each by Wes Depp and Eugene Curran help top Mineola 18-2
May 4, 1990, Depp's 5 goals and Miller's 6 assists help the Trojans open up a 15-0 halftime lead in a 20-0 shutout of Great Neck North.
May 18, 1990, The Trojans beat Sewanhaka 18-4 to finish their league season 12-0. Garden City's league winning streak stands at 30.
May 25, 1990, The Trojans hold Levittown Division to zero shots and win 6-0 in the second round playoff game.
June 1, 1990, Garden City wins the Nassau Class B Championship by topping Manhasset 11-3 at Hofstra. The team moved into the Class B grouping due to falling enrollment.
June 5, 1990, Sean Miller's 7 assists tie the school playoff record as the Trojans trounce Rocky Point 14-2 in the Long Island Class B Championship.



1989
April 21, 1989, Matt Heaney assists on 7 goals as the Trojans crush East Meadow 25-3
April 29, 1989, Wes Depp's 4 goals lead 14 scorers in a 25-0 win over Valley Stream Central.
May 22, 1989, Heaney's 7 assists and Depp's 5 goals beat Herricks 13-5



1988
April 8, 1988, Garden City beats Connecticut State Champion New Canaan for the second straight year.
May 20, 1988, Rob Falk scores 5 goals and Matt Heaney records 6 assists in a 14-1 win over MacArthur.
May 27, 1988, Falk's 4 goals top East Meadow 9-3 in playoffs. The attackman finishes with 58 goals and 101 points.



1987
March 26, 1987, The Trojans beat the Hill School (PA) 25-4 as 17 different players score goals.
April 7, 1987, Mickey Cavuoti assists on 10 goals in the 20-1 win over Great Neck North.
May 26, 1987, Jay McMahon's 3 goals key Garden City's 11-4 triumph over Calhoun for the third straight Nassau Championship.
June 2, 1987, Cavuoti assists on 5 goals as the Trojans beat Ward Melville 8-5 for the Long Island Class A Title. It is Garden City's 47th consecutive victory over two seasons.
June 4, 1987, The Trojans winning season is ended by Yorktown 9-8. Cavuoti finishes with 92 assists and 133 points.



1986
April 1, 1986, Andy Kraus scores 6 times in a 14-4 win over Manhasset.
May 28, 1986, Kraus leads the fourth quarter comeback in a 7-6 playoff win over Hicksville.
June 4, 1986, The Trojans win the Nassau County Class A Championship by topping Calhoun 6-4.
June 6, 1986, Mickey Cavuoti assists on 3 goals as Garden City comes back to beat Ward Melville 6-5 for the Long Island Championship before more than 4,000 at Hofstra.
June 10, 1986, Garden City beats Yorktown 7-4 in the State Semifinal.
June 14, 1986, The Trojans win the New York State Class A Championship by beating Fairport 14-6 at Hofstra. Garden City led by MVP Andy Kraus, who dominated faceoffs and scored 69 goals, finished with a perfect 25-0 record.



1985
March 22, 1985, Scott Hiller's 6 goals top Manhasset, 18-10, in 50th anniversary of the rivalry.
April 9, 1985, Paul Basile totals 12 points in 16-7 victory over Freeport.
April 22, 1985, Basile has his second straight 7 assist game as G.C. beats Norwalk, Connecticut 19-6.
May 28, 1985, Rob Griffith's goal in sudden death overtime beats Farmingdale 7-6 for the Nassau County Championship.
May 31, 1985, Garden City beats Ward Melville 10-5 at Hofstra to win the Long Island Championship.
June 4, 1985, The Trojans edge Yorktown 11-10 at West Point's Michie Stadium in the State semifinal.
June 8, 1985, Playing in the State Championship for the first time, the Trojans lose to West Genesee 10-3 at Cornell. Garden City finishes 23-2 as Scott Hiller totals 84 goals and Paul Basile 96 assists and 137 points.



1984
April 7, 1984, Playing at historic Franklin field in Philadelphia, Garden City edges Lower Merion, 8-7
May 22, 1984, Sean Dougherty who finishes the season with 102 points scores 9 goals in an exciting 15-12 playoff win over Elmont.



1983
May 13, 1983, Sean Dougherty's 6 goal, 4 assist performance in 20-1 victory over West Hempstead is the highlight of GC's first losing season since 1969.


1982
May 18, 1982, Led by All-American James Koester, the Trojans clinch the Conference II title.
